About Me, Lenore
I’ve spent 30+ years growing up in retail, with seasons at iconic spots like Betsey Johnson, Diesel, Warm and STORY. I’ve played in just about every part of the business, but the store has always been my happy place: the people, playing dress up, moving things around until they feel just right, the constant discovery, and the tiny details that somehow create magic.
Retail is my love language, and for years I’ve helped other retailers tell their stories. Then, a few months ago, Aunt Lolly’s showed up in my heart, and I knew I wanted back in. So now it’s my turn to plant something of my own. A shop that feels collected rather than curated. Personal, layered, joyful and a little unexpected. A place to discover beautiful clothes, fun finds, color, nature, and a little surprise. Always built around the people who walk through the door.
About Aunt lollyNot only was Lolly my Aunt, she was also my godmother. She moved to Vermont when I was little and built her house on a hill. Some of my favorite memories are the eight hour family drives to visit her, Paul Simon playing, stopping at the Delaware Water Gap, and even sleeping in the barn while the house was being built. Her world felt like an adventure, and I loved it. Those trips really deepened my love of nature.
Lolly had a shop I can only describe as hardware store meets MoMA - paint, flowers, supplies, and the coolest, most unexpected things. Her gifts were never the obvious thing, which made getting a package from Vermont feel magical. As a city kid, I was fascinated by her world. She’s been gone for more than 25 years, but I try to find ways to keep a little bit of Lolly around. Now, as an Aunt and godmother myself, Aunt Lolly’s feels like the perfect way to do it.
